Maybe so, but no more "unappetizing" than having to inject myself four (sometimes five) times a day, live on bland food that wouldn't interest a starving rat, lose my eyesight, get enormous scars from surgeries, completely lose the ability to perform (and then learn that the drugs that can help will accelerate your blindness) and have to worry that every cut or bruise may turn gangrenous.
You think I wouldn't do it if I thought it'd make a difference?
