oh i don't see the kids buying the books themselves, i see parents thinking, hey there's that popular children's book, i will get it for my kid. and so bring it home to read. i have to say that i still maintain that it is very rare for parents to sit down and discuss good and evil in any manifestation with their children. people are by and large clueless, they have no idea what kind of music their kids are listening to, what tv shows or movies they are seeing and what sort of ideas/misapprehensions it is giving them. Parents by and large DO NOT form their children's character. they go about living their own lives, working, getting ahead, going on vacations etc. But they have NO IDEA what they think their kids think is proper or right or good. i would stake my life on it.

I don't think we are the only parents who spend time molding our kids into better versions with good moral teaching.

Kids should be reading the Little House series.
