Women on the other hand tend to shoot their mouth off about it when it doesn't meet their standards.

Men and woman are wired differently. Women talk about everything with their friends. Men tend to have more casual, less intimate conversations.

It is not right for a wife to insult her husband, either publically or privately. And as I have said in another post, I do not hesitate to call them on it if I witness it happening. (I'll do the same with a man, when I see them do it.)

Actually I get it precisely.

No, you don't get it. You still think you'd get more and better sex if you club her over the head and drag her off to your cave. Maybe some day you'll get beyond that.

LOL! No although sometimes thats not bad either.

We are not talking about me however but this situation in general. Most men would get more sex if they just kept a girlfriend and used marriage as a carrot. It may not always be better sex, but sex is always better if both people are very willing and not just fulfilling some marital duty. I get it, its just most women wont reveal their true feelings or intentions in this matter, thats why this is even a subject to discuss because its true.

For some of us, that might be the only way to get anything. :)

Whatever you call it, ripping someones testicles off in public won't help your cause in private. It is VERY common and as another freeper volunteered, if the male was saying anything as remotely "funny" to the female all hell would break loose. But it is alljust a "joke" when the female says it!

If you've read my other posts, then you know I'm not talking about this.

LOL Yes, there are definitely some men like that. A few of them have been posting on this very thread.

No. What it boils down to is your attitude toward women you are SUPPOSED to show love to.

But hey, if the only way you can get it is to club her over the head and drag her back to the cave, go for it. She isn't very intelligent if she puts up with that rubbish.

Ha ha ha ha. What is love? To lie to them so you don't have to fight or to be honest? Love doesn't mean kiss their ass so their feelings don't get hurt. Loving someone is setting them straight if they need it.

What is my attitude, by the way, to someone I am supposed to love? Tell me what you think it is from my posts?

I love you Normy, so I'm setting you straight. Stop being the poster boy for delayed development and act like a real man. Treat your woman as the precious person she is (or SHOULD be) in your life. Love her so much you'd be willing to give your life up for her. Stop beating her over the head with your club and dragging her back to your cave.

And with that, Normy dear boy, you are dismissed by this woman. I know that gets your knickers in a twist.

Deal with it.

Because you are not a man you cannot know how a real man should act. You do make my point with your "act like a real man" remark though. Women think they know how a real man should act and have been telling them how that should be for centuries.

Being willing to die for my wife has nothing to do with being honest with them. God set men in charge of their houses and it is their responsibility to run the thing no matter how much pressure their wives give them. The wife, if humble to God, will be humble toward to their husband. You should drop the "hitting over the head with a club" act and your personal remarks about me and focus on the man/woman or husband/wife angle.

Because you are not a man you cannot know how a real man should act.

However, because I am a woman, I know how a real woman will respond.

Women think they know how a real man should act

The discussion has been about what real women respond to best, not how a man should act. If you don't want a real woman to respond to you, then feel free to try the 'bonk on the head, drag back to the cave' approach.

God set men in charge of their houses and it is their responsibility to run the thing

Who is arguing that? The discussion has been about what women respond to. If you wish to 'run your house' the way God wants, then you won't be treating your wife poorly and try to keep her 'guessing' as to your love for her, that is certain. You will be the servant leader, just as Jesus was.

You should drop the "hitting over the head with a club" act and your personal remarks about me and focus on the man/woman or husband/wife angle.

If you wish to be a Godly husband, you will love her as Christ loves the church. Jesus was always a servant leader. Remember that.

Tell that to the Scribes and Pharisees and those in the Temple. Did Jesus love Peter when he told him to "get behind me Satan, you are a stumbling block to me"? Did he love Mary when he said "woman what do I have to do with you? My hour has not come". Did he love the church when he beat those selling and buying in the temple? Did he love the leaders of the Church when he called them snakes and whited tombs full of dead mens bones? Did he love the woman who came for healing for her child when he called her a dog?.

God Bless.

Absolutely. If your wife tells you to do the wrong thing, of course you'd say something to her, perhaps strongly if she were pushing you.

But we aren't talking about that. We are talking about a husband's overall treatment of his wife.

Given that, it is very interesting that you compare how a husband should treat a wife to all those instances of Jesus correcting wrong-doing. It tells me a great deal about your attitude toward marriage and women.

Well I am glad you think my following the actions of Jesus is interesting.

Well I am glad you think my following the actions of Jesus is interesting.

At best, you seem to do so selectively, and out of context.

We were discussing how men should treat their wives, and you say "love your wife as Christ loves the church" has nothing to do with it. Then you proceed to point out how Jesus treated various people, believer and non-believer alike, when He was chastising them.

In other words, what the word says you should do toward your spouse, you dismiss. What the word says regarding Jesus chastising wrongdoers, you apply to your spouse.

Are you even married? If so, I can't imagine you have a happy wife, since you prefer to chastise her rather than love her as Christ loves the church.

I thank the Lord for my Godly husband. I could have ended up with someone like you instead.
