So, you've read the book...now you have to read the thread!!! How did you like it? How 'bout that mean ole Snape?

The WHOLE thread? Is this detention? ;)

There's a debate within the DTogo household as to whether Snape was acting on D's orders or not. And I'm still disappointed that Harry hasn't picked up on more unconventional magic like his Dad when he was younger - for mischief or combat purposes.

Actually, the thread is a pretty quick read. The concensus (now, how do I spellcheck?) among FReepers is that Snape DID kill DD without malice--most of us seem to think that DD and Snape had prepared for this eventuality. Throughout the thread, there are some pretty strong arguments in favor of this line of thought. What I find myself thinking about doesn't have so much to do with the book, but with the FReeping reaction to Snape:

Why is it, folks, that we all want to see Snape as a man caught in a horrible situation?

I'm really curious about that. I've admitted it before, I'll say it again: It's all because of Alan Rickman. He's to blame!

And another thing...when could VM have turned HP into a horcrux? I just don't see it.
