I didn't see STIII, but I get where you're going...DD isn't really dead, now he has his own horcrux. I do not think he would allow that to happen. He referred to the creation of horcruxes as the darkest of dark arts. The soul should remain intact.

He is dead, folks.

The whole horcrux creation reminds me so much of Sauron's Ring. As long as the Ring was intact, his soul was alive and he could return--not easily, just as Voldemort's return was difficult.
