So sorry to hear your news. Now is the time for your family to do for you what you've been doing for them!

Just a quick note to all for your kind thought, words and prayers....something did the trick :)

The surgery went better, and quicker than even th surgeon had predicted..............so well infact, that I am home and didn't have to spend the night in hospital. YIPPEE.

I'm waiting for my husband to get back from the pharmacy with my medication and promise to reread the thread and respond properly tomorrow.

Again, my heartfelt thanks to all of you.

Gabz

My goodness! Prayers for a safe, successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

During "Our Year In Hell" (aka, "If It Can Go Wrong, Yadda Yadda") hubby's appendix became infected. By the time he got to the ER, he was within an hour of rupture. A three-day hospital visit would have turned into three weeks, possibly death.

If I have a good point, I would have to say that I have been blessed with grace under pressure. I don't even remember too much about hubby's hospitalization and recovery. I just buckled down and got to it. It's like life on auto-pilot with me: All emotion becomes simply subterfuge so I can focus completely on the task at hand.

Keep us posted on your situation, Gabz!

Gabz,

I hope that you feel better! I broke my toe five years ago by dropping a 45 pound inverted leg press weight on it... so I know that it hurts!

My advice is to let everyone else do the house work and get better! I know thats hard to do because I myself am a neat freak!
