Yeah, it does add to the risk. But I really think trailering one often makes for a nicer calmer horse. I think they learn to expect the unexpected more and so the unexpected doesn't rattle them so much.

They move along so slow here at home, I wonder sometime if a horse could get just as bored with doing the same trails so much as they do in an arena.

We're not bored yet by the trails we've already been over, but we are eyeing new spots. :~D Have you ridden again on that neighbor's big property? Didn't he give you access to new ground to cover?

I really want to take them to the ocean fairly soon. I'd like to see how they handle the big water and surf. It'd be a really different kind of ride.
