Is that land state or federal forest? or park?
In parks here, they leave things alone... but in the working timber, they'd clean and salvage and replant. Is that area some kind of set aside nature area, or is it logged?
It's federal forest. Part of it is designated a Wilderness Area, part of it is wildlife management area. They're not very horse-friendly in either area.
