Well, I hope it doesn't come to that but I sure don't want it here. We need another horse like we need more heat!

Thanks for the pics Tuff, those are great!

...You and Tracey and Bob have lost your minds" :) Sounds like you've been triple-teamed. I'd say that horse is as good as at your place right now. ;o)

Good morning
Tuffy, that building reminded me of the Cowboy Hall of Fame in OK City. I had to do a double take, wondering if you cam all the way up to the City:)
My farrier better get here and be healthy:).

So, what do they want the horse for?

Good morning all.
I was delighted to see Tuff's pics of the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. I belong to an organization that helped raise money for it. Just a little money but every penny counted. It looks great.
Will check in again tonight. I am off to Eagle Pass and Fort Duncan on the Rio Grande to do some research. After I go down and tend to my darling dimwit Thoroughbred. I am using Furazone and slaked lime on her wound. Sigh.

Squarebarb, the money you raised sure went to good use, that museum is beautiful and lots of fun. They didn't build it cheaply, the murals and building details are just awesome.
What is slaked lime?

I would like to visit the Cowboy Hall of Fame. I adore old West history and sometimes think I was born in the wrong era.

Mack and I went down there a few years ago. I really enjoyed it:). It's worth a trip.

How long does it take to get to Oklahoma City from the DFW area?

I think maybe about 3 hours. It takes us 4-5 to get to Dallas, I think, been while since we went. We're nearly 2 hours north and east of OK City. I think it's would just be straight north for you???. Good roads all the way too.

Morning everyone.
I have not gotten off to a good start. My boss was unable to submit my time before going on vacation, so it doesn't look like I'm going to get paid for a month! (I get paid on a bi-weekly basis and she's gone for two weeks) I guess that the bright side to this, is that I'm going to have a fat check waiting for me then, but that doesn't help the bills that I have to pay now! :-/
But in other good news, I was able to find a temporary placement for my dog. Hooray.

It probably would be a straight shot for me, just get on I35 on go north.
Do you like Fiestaware? When we went to the cutting horse show yesterday, we stopped by a large antiques store and they had the best selection of new Fiestaware that I've ever seen! I got a turquoise set of mixing bowls, some large salt and pepper shakers and a large fruit bowl. I like getting lots of different colors, makes for a fun, cheerful table.

Good grief, aren't there laws about withholding someone's paycheck for no good reason? How do they expect you to pay your bills for a month? Tell your creditors that your boss is on vacation???

To tell the truth, I'm not familiar with Fiestaware, but it sounds nice:)

That would give them a good chuckle, and they would probably put it on the list of "Excuses They've Heard From People 1001 Times"
I'll figure something out. I'll just go above her. But she left me a nice note that says that she tried to sign it electronically and couldn't. Wasn't that sweet? I don't think that it's her fault, but that doesn't help matters.

There are collectors of vintage Fiestaware but I buy the new stuff. Too many things get broken around here to spend the big bucks on antiques. And besides, I like to use it, not display it.
