It actually doesn't feel as hot right now as it did this morning, probably because I'm not dragging 16 ft panels around now:)
I'm still bailing on riding tho, I'm tired, Mack called, he'll be home shortly, so I'm hanging here.
You have a good ride:). 65 is about the perfect temprature to ride in.
Becky
I really don't think you are gonna get much of it. Sorry
Dragging panels around will add 20 degrees to any temperature :~D
It's sunny here.... but something happens in fall, and there's no longer any warmth in it. I really don't mind that, once I get accustomed... I prefer my winter clothes anyhow. :~D
I have no idea how hot it is but it's hot enough that I have to wear shoes on concrete and everything hot in my car.
I did. I actually have three set up. Not one person called.
Most people evacuating had a place to go. Hotels, families, friends. If the storm had hit and people were living in shelters it would have been a different story. It was a really nice thing for you to do though.
Wow Becky! That's a whole lot to get done in one morning! Makes me feel like such a loafer. :-D
I had a great time on the trail ride, but I'm definitely going to try another place that I've found - that while it is more expensive, it is a lot closer.
Also, now that the initial excitement of "I'm on a horse!" has ebbed, I'm able to notice things that aren't that great about the place I'm riding at now.
Foyt was still missing a shoe when I rode him today. It troubles me, since he was wearing a boot to cover a missing shoe the last time I was there.
And I only found out he was missing a shoe after we'd ridden over a half hour and he had stumbled twice - worse the second time. When I asked the trail leader about it, that's when she said he had a shoe missing.
Now, I can't be sure that it's the same shoe because I didn't check his feet. But the sound was definitely different on one of his front hooves. And the boot was on the front right when I rode him last time.
That was 2 weeks before Katrina.
Now, it may be a different hoof than last time, but if it isn't, that means that Foyt has been barefoot on that foot for over a month. I'm no horse expert, but I'd expect a place that works 35+ horses for a living would have a farrier out every couple of weeks or so.
Or maybe not.
Anyway, there were a couple of other things that bothered me too. So, I'm going to try this other place and see how it goes. I'd rather cough up the extra 5 bucks and have piece of mind.
Have you considered putting in a well for your tank?
Good for you! : ) Glad you got to ride! : )
I'm gobsmacked................totally gobsmacked! LOL (speachless with chin on floor)
Gobsmacked what a strange, strange word!
I got Okie out just in time. Liberty is flooding.
Thank goodness for that! : )
See photo above of Tommy waiting for snow! LOL
That's so cute.
We sled in the summer. I used to live in Ft Worth and we would slide down hills on cardboard. Just give him a box and a little hill.
not many hills here!
Heh, what a cutie! :-)
