The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Well, it finally happened after six yrs. Someone broke into our cabin. They smashed the front door glass and there was glass everywhere !!! I am bewildered at what was taken. My walkie talkies, a print on the wall, my husbands hunting jacket and rain gear, and his bear rug (he shot the bear in the early 80's) They left all the stuff that you would think would be taken. camera's, TV,DVD,video recorder etc.

We found out yesterday who it was and made a police report and they are going on Monday to search his place. We will prosecute because this guy has been nothing but trouble since we met him. He broke into our neighbors 3 times.

On a lighter note, Waylon and I are having a ball riding the trails etc. He is very good on the trails and hills but still is a little timid about puddles (lol)

Speaking of Tennessee, we talked to a boy yesterday that my kids went to school with, he graduated a couple of years ago. Anyway, he's living and going to school in Nashville and loves it.

Good morning all! We got in about midnight last night and slept like logs. : ) Everything is still out in the car waiting to be unpacked and washed : ( The grass is a mile high and I cant even see the puppies! LOL Chores chores chores.......!
Estrogen, I am so sorry someone has violated your retreat, try not to let their evil deed ruin your cabin for you. I hope that they prosecute and deal heavily with the thief.
Tuffy.......I want to go further north to have cooler weather so I really DONT think Texas is it! LOL Misourri would be a great place for a vacation though! : )

It probably wont be till this afternoon till i get a chance to download the pics from my laptop to a disk and get them on here to send to photobucket. So I will catch up with you all then. Laundry room is calling my name BIG time! I want to get out and check on the animals too.

Sounds like you're doing great at getting control. Bending their head around to your knee is a good tip if they're running off with you. Did they tell you to do that?

So sorry your place was broken into. Our beach house was broken into too once, and it just makes you feel so sad and mad to look what someone else casually did to your stuff! How very encouraging to know who it is and be able to prosecute. We never knew what happened to our stuff, I hope you get things back. Particularly the bear, he's hard to replace :~0
