I love book sales!

Our library, which is massive, has an entire section of books for sale, all the time!

So does our library...though it tends to have more non-fiction.

This sale is all donated books, so there should be more variety, and they'll be cheap! Usually at such things I try to find any classics I don't already own, plus mysteries. For a dime, I can even pick up stuff by authors I'm less than sure of. I can always pass it on or pitch it if I don't like it.

It was more of a big deal at home in some ways, I suppose, because the library itself had such a poor selection. So...sometimes that was the only way to find new authors.

Heh...last one at home I spent about thirteen dollars (which admittedly was a fortune to me at the time) and got something like three big paper sacks FULL of books. Mostly paperbacks, a lot of which I donated to various places when I left. But it kept me in reading material for a good long time! And I picked up a lot of Dickens. I know critics are often hard on his writing, but I like it.
