well, granted it is not in the same class, the alligator snapping turtle often hangs out in came habitat niche that the big ol' catfish do.

*shudder*

We only had the regular kinda snapping turtle back home, so far as I know. But I have a vey healthy respect for even tiny ones. They're amazingly powerful.

Used to be a very large one that lived in the pond near our house - could still be there, so far as I know. Rumor had it that every spring he'd pick off at least a few of any ducklings that showed up...pull 'em under.

Evening Rosie, yes, got a healthy respect for them myself. Sticking my hand in a submerged root wad or under a rock overhang in hopes of withdrawing an intact hand and a hopping mad catfish...hmmm. Let me ponder on that a bit.
