The steers get grained at the end for the same reason...

Surprised though, that they were too extra lean, even though yours were free to wlk around, they didn't look like they were running laps or anything. ;~D

This is true, but they did get more exercise than store-bought chickens which amazingly caused them to be more lean!

They didn't run laps though...for sure. They were pretty lazy most the time! LOL I never had to worry about them running off. I'd raise up the tractor and pick one up and carry it in to it's tote and when I came back, the other would still be standing there...LOL!

Puffy, on the other hand, is hard to catch. Of course she would be because she eats and poops and doesn't worry about laying eggs so she doesn't squat.
