Ideally, we should be able to do that, so that clients would learn to be timely.
Unfortunately, management will get calls from clients complaining that such and such new emploeye wasn't included in the payroll and when they come by to tell us about the call, they'll say "I told the client that you'll just go ahead and enter it next time, even if it's late".
Clients have figured out that by calling the manager, they can get away with pretty much anything - and so the underlings like me are completely screwed.
If our managers don't enforce the rule, how on earth can we do it?
