The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Let them go! Let them go!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hay! Yah. Much better, and thanks.
Got a followup meeting with the cutter tomorrow, to see what needs done now. I think the antibiotics have had good effect, and I'm hoping that's what the cutter thinks too, and let 'em keep working.
Problem is, surgeons tend to see surgical solutions... internists tend to see pharmicological solutions... etc, etc...

After a couple of Wild Turkeys, Jar Jar doesn't seem so bad... :-P
To: RMDupree
I missed a lot of these early episodes when they first ran, because often we wouldn't get home in time to see them and although I recorded them we never watched the recordings.
(Yeah, I know, what's the point of recording 'em if you don't watch 'em...)

Everyone does that now and again, Bear.
Somehow it just isn't the same as watching it when it's really on. Weird, huh?
I'll rent the season 1 DVDs as we approach the new season if I feel I need a refresher.

Okay, so I finished the book and here's what I think < Harry Potter spoiler font > I think Dumbledore knew what was coming and for some reason it had to happen. I also think that the "please Snape" was a please go ahead and finish it. BECAUSE, Dumbledore believed there is/was still hope for Malfoy. If Malfoy couldn't follow thru, perhaps he could be saved...whaddya think? < / Harry Potter spoiler font>

In this case, since I'm not going to read the book, I like the spoilers.
Thanks! ;)

Here's another oddity... If we catch a movie we like on one of the movie channels (like X2 earlier tonight) we'll watch it. But, even though we have the movie on DVD, we *never* watch the DVD.
Go figure.

Hey Howdy Corin! :-)
What's a dumbledore? [just kidding]

I think maybe instead of SW II, maybe I'll do Team America instead. That might be just the ting.
To: Ramius
Hey dude, good to see you up and about.
I have meeting hell tomorrow. But this one's live and in person.

Thats even worse... at least on remote call-ins one can at least freep during the meeting without it being obvious.
To: Ramius
Or maybe South Park: BLU. There's a nod to JarJar in that one, if you recall...

Hmmm... I'll have to check that out again...

I have DVDs still in their shrink wrap. *grin*
The only DVDs in my house that really get watched over and over are the kids flicks. I can practically recite Finding Nemo, Beauty & the Beast, etc. :-D
Anyway, it's nearly quarter til eleven here and I'm dead tired. I was at the office before 8am this morning. Blech!
Time for this day to end for me.
Good night fellas! Be good!

Nite nite, Miss Rutheee... :-)
To: Ramius
Evening Ramius - it appears that you are still with the fellowship on the quest, mission, thing. Good on you, Mate. Glad to have you upright and mobile. Got to take care of your self, oh, I see 'the recipe' has medicinal uses.

Hah! And evening to you, Master Bowman... Yes, I'm still among the upright, or at least the vertical.
Beyond that, I cannot say... :-)

Have a great trip and take care.
