"Actually I dont think it would be a deterrent. It would just get quite a few Mexicans killed and their families along with them."

Guest worker programs/amnesty programs are not a deterrent. Mexicans and their families will not be killed if they do not break our laws. If you invade Mexico guess what you will be at the mercy of the laws of their country. I don't have a problem with legal immigration. I have a problem with people who invade my country and disregard the laws of my country, especially during a time of war. This can not be tolerated. It is up to the Mexican government and Mexicans themselves to ensure the safety of their families by not illegally infiltrating my country. I am not for covert ops into Mexico to stop the infiltration but I am definitely for defending my country from within, to do anything less is treasonous. I swore allegiance to defend my country in uniform for 20 years. Now that my country is at war I will not turn my back on her out of respect for Mexico or any other country that refuses to respect the lives of Americans.

It is up to the Mexican government

Now I didnt say anything about an amnesty program now did I? As for the other statement, hell their government is advocating them leaving. The problem with Mexico is that it is still practically a feudal system down there. Something like 10% of the population owns 90% of the land or something like that.....
