Hey Norm.

Ok, last week was the starting green/yellow flag.

Then yesterday, it was mandatory yellow at 25 laps?

That was the only one, right? Mandatory yellow? Where did this come from? Has this happened before in Nascar?

Yes, In a few races actually the last few years. They were drying the track too..

Usually, when NASCAR throws a mandatory yellow, it is a result of the pre-race practices being rained out. This is the first time I recall NASCAR throwing out the yellow for a potentially-bad tire (despite concerns all year about tires).

There were a heap of yellows yesterday; 10 total, with 9 of them for either crashes or debris on the racetrack.
