BTW, that Vickers time is the 2nd to bust the old track record. Bifflage is up.

Ouch on taking Smoke. He'll likely be starting 42nd regardless of whether he qualifies or not.
Shrub continues the 2nd-lap improvement trend; 185.242 is good for 6th of 15 (and it actually improves his position from 8th after the first lap).

Methinks Kenny Wallace should've stuck with the Waltrip Racing ride and not skipped brother Mike; 181.800 is good for 15th of 16 and 4th of 5 field-fillers (puts Hamilton into the show).
Backflipper with a 185.471 (6th of 17).

Big wiggle for the flipper. He didn't want to go around again and takes a hard left down pit road!!

Carl Long puts down a 183.175 (15th of 18, 4th of 6 field-fillers, which NOW puts Hamilton into the show).
Flash with a good lap - 186.156 puts him 4th of 19.

The New Silver Bullet (Stremme) continues the disappointing Ganassi qualifying efforts with a 193.717 (20th of 27, 4th of 9 field-fillers), but puts both himself and Terry Labonte in the show on time.
Kevin Lepage's 182.766 is good for 23rd of 28, 6th of 9 field-fillers, and puts Carl Long into the show.
Jason Leffler puts down a 181.818 (26th of 29, 7th of 10 field-fillers). That puts Lepage into the show and sends Anderson home early. On the bubble is Garvey.
