the one that will most confound historians is that Bob Dylan was considered to be, not just a musician, but a musical genius.

As big of a fan as I am of Bob Dylan, having seen him numerous times and with about 15 of his albums, (from 'Highway 61' to some of his more current ones) there is one claim that I have never made, nor have I heard anyone else make the claim that he is a "musical genius."

I also am 100% certain he would never claim that title.

What I do consider him to be is a poet and a songwriter. A 'wordsmith' as some have tagged it. In that regard, he has an ability to which there are few in his category, as to his prolificness and ability. You may not appreciate his lyrics, or his voice, but only a fool would argue that the man does not have a talent for writing songs/poems.

Google Bob Dylan "musical genius", then stand back.

I think Dylan is a burned out rag who never could sing a note just like Mick Jagger.
