I been wrestling with this for a long, long time I could never play a few games no matter what I had tried updates for DX-9, Security pkg 2 etc than I found out I was harboring vicious wicked parasites that come from the mid-eastern terrorist/insurgents!
I SUSGGEST THAT PC USERS SHOULD CHECK OFTEN, OR EVEN DAILY, THEIR SYSTEM START UP CONFIGERATIONS
I have learned when you go to RUN you can check many areas maybe you will get their ADDRESS before they mess that up too!
This is all done in RUN
1- System start-up...MSCONFIG This will show the programs that are joining you for the day!
2- REGEDIT This will take you to your register which is tricky for you could mess yourself up while trying to get rid of the bad guy so it not recommend to doing anything you are not sure of...sometimes you will have track down the exact knowledge you need only to find out you are NOT ALLOWED AS OWNER OF YOUR PC TO DELLETE!

Cyber-terror attack 'could cripple UK'
BRITAIN could be crippled by a cyber-terrorist attack, a former chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority warned today.
Lord Toby Harris said al Qaida could engage in hi-tech internet terrorism to seriously damage the British economy.
Lord Harris said that a computer-literate terrorist could hack into banking and financial systems, government and public services, communication networks and police.
He cited the disruption caused to the coastguard service last year by the Sasser worm virus and said this could be the tip of the iceberg.
"The threat could come from teenage hackers with no more motivation than proving that it could be done; but, more seriously, it could come from cyber-terrorists intent on bringing down of our society," Lord Harris told a conference in London.
• Eight suspected al-Qaida members admitted planning attacks on the British embassy in Yemen when they went on trial today. The eight told the court they received money and instructions from al-Qaida operatives in Saudi Arabia.

So I will do a Quick Restore which they might have done something so when you do this it will not show up for a while
I became a that my virus protection, the hijackers have disabled and supper imposed their own version they have done this to the software I name and it seems to give you false sense of security only that reality sets in when the same problems exist and you do a REGEDIT and see the words disable the anit-virus product you are using and the spyware protection is also disabled and an Addendum is added
HIJACK THIS; AD-WARE; SPYBOT; ETC
when I was in the REGEDIT I could this they have disabled so I wonder about my Quick Restore if they have not tampered with what is needed to communitcated with QR will only be hidden these insidious programs?
Much of this is my personal observation or opinion! of what is going on in my world it may not be the case with you!

Hair we go way back even on the religious forum when it was hot and heavey which in those days you were firm but not rude, in those days we agreed to disagree on some topics and also on the NES forum and even showed me the place to get the LOTR name when you enter your name that is how you got I think Hair or was that JanB anyway it was when the first Hobbit hole forum started!
