Good Morning!

49 degrees at the moment.

Perfect weather for sleeping last night.

We had some neighbors blowing off fireworks that literally (((((shhhhooooookkkkk))))) the house. It sounded as though we were in the middle of Beruit!

Sigh... tis the season.

Yes, I finally slept. About 10:30, I suppose. Awake at 4:00.

I guess I was a little too overly optomistic about the need for the pain meds. I have some permanent nerve damage, which continues to improve. I had surgury 4 years ago in Sept. It's incredible to think I'm still repairing inside.

I've learned my lesson, for the time being. I will take one pill at bedtime to get me thru the next day for awhile longer. Perhaps some day I can get to the point I don't need it.

Good Morning.

I see C-Span was running the democratic opinion of Sandra Day's retirement.

It's funny... ole Teddy the swimmer trying to advise the President on who to pick, after he's been non stop attacking him over the past several years.

Like being a duck, and advising the alligator to change it's diet. ("I think you should go vegetarian.")

I'd still love to see Ann Coulter nominated, just to watch them squirm.

Janice Brown Rodgers would be my choice.

Good to know the airport is smaller. I figgered as much and yes, and "secret plans" sound intriguing. I don't expect they'll ship the dog until the 20th of this month at the earliest. It all depends on the arrival and unloading of the final moving van. They will give me a 2 day notice.

I just cane in from a big round up. My 16 chickens got out and I had to put them in the pen, the 'vomits' would eat them if they run free. I was soaking wet from sweat from chasing them. I have 10 that is suppose to lay from 200 to 230 eggs a year, 3 Rhode Island Reds, bout 180 eggs a year and two I don't know what they are, black in color, pretty birds.

Actually, it is the 'best' news about my heel. I heard it pop the other day, and the dr was afraid I had ruptured the tendon, which would require surgery. I do have to be careful, but so far so good. I take a pain pill at night and an anti-inflammatory during the day.

Good luck on cutting down on your medication. I've been able to do that, but it took a few years. And I still keep a script with me so that if I need it, I can get it.

Got your mail, Thanks. I'll reply in the morning.

My grandmother always had Rhode Island reds and I can recall as a young girl the fun I had collecting eggs. Hers laid a lot. I also remember the 2 glass eggs she's put in the nests... fooled those chickens into laying more eggs

Out skies look clearn tonight, but that's always subject to change. We needed the rain, at least my yard did

What's doing tomorry?

'The day of rest'. I cut the back of the place yesterday, did some cleaning about the fence, rounded up 16 chickens that escaped (not ONE wanted to be caught) so I rest, well kinda.

Good morning! I am much better today although still a little tired. I will be preparing for the family cookout today.

I am so glad they found that little girl in Idaho, but I am sad about her brother. Good thing that waitress is one who pays attention to things!

Cookout, that sounds fun. I am going to get a real big REAL cooker for SIL for his birthday, I found one at Academy, cook with real wood too, we have used one that a 'in town neighbor' asked us to keep while his new home was being constructed. Talking about putting out some food, wow!

Yesterday here it was one of those 'can't breath' day's because of the hot weather, it was terrible. We have rain today tomorrow and Tuesday forecast for us, maybe that will cool us off some.

That cooker sounds neat. It is much cooler and less humid here this morning...right now it is only 65.

Should be a perfect day for outdoor cokking. I already have made the potato salad and will be starting the baked beans in a little while. I love summer food!
