Some can't hear music on web page. WHY?

Not to be rude or anything, but I absolutely hate going to a web page and suddenly have music blaring out of my speakers. It is annoying and disturbing to others around me. You need to keep the volume up so you can hear the beeps and boops that Windows likes to make.

for the main site Firefox told me that i had to install Java JRE. but the listen.htm worked fine without it.
