The red round one had to endorse checks made out to him

Actually the checks could be deposited into the red round ones account without an endorsement. Termite was in Seattle most of the time. All he had to do is take the checks to the bank, explain that the red round one was ill and out of state and they would allow him to deposit them.

True, anyone can write "for deposit only in account #...." and the bank will take them for deposit. The banks do make copies of all checks though, don't they?
