I for one think he is a brilliant actor, and would never boycott his films.
He never "denied" saying that - as usual for the apologists, what he did say was that his words were misconstrued. The quotes were from an interview he did with Stern, a German magazine (see the story I linked above). Of course, I'm sure Depp originally thought nobody in this country would pay attention to anti-American comments he made over in Europe, but he backpedalled big time afterwards.
