Durning a red flag, you have to sit in your car and basically do nothing. That's about it. The drivers really hated life because it was hot last night.

Lots of chatter going on at the hill at the Capitol in Pennsylvania last week.

It seems as if the owner of the Pocono Races is thinking of taking their 2nd race and moving it to a new track to be built in.....get this....outside of the Casino to be built next to Gettysburg.

It makes sense because Pocono is not the easiest track to get to. Draw a 200 mile circle around Gettysburg and it increases the draw with great roads.

Red flag STOPS the race...nobody, nohow gets to work on the cars at all. They can lay out their tools but that's it.

Red Flags can come because of terrible crashes, airlift out the injured, less than 10 laps and lots of debris to clean up etc.

When NASCAR throws a red flag during a normal points race, the only thing that drivers can do is get out of their cars. They and their crews cannot otherwise touch them or work on them (as Sterling Marlin found out the hard way a few years ago); the penalty is they get sent to the tail end of the longest line on the restart.

The rules change somewhat during the non-points races (Bud Shootout, Nextel Open, Nextel All-Star Challenge) - the crews can work on their cars.
