KY on Fox???

Posted on 06/29/2005 8:26:17 AM PDT by Scarchin

Okay - I'm a teacher on vacation and watching Fox news.

It's 11:00 in the morning and an ad comes on for "KY massage and personal lubricant." The husband lights up when the wife says "personal lubricant" and she says it again at the end of the ad and winks. There is a clear sexual tone to the ad.

Is it me or is this out of bounds?

Anyone else see it?

I'm calling FOX and I'll post what happens.

The cowboy looks pretty gay, doesn't he? And could they have picked a more homely woman? The black guy is the only normal one of the 3.

Did you really want to see a sexy woman with nausea, indigestion, heartburn and diarrhea? Can men ever stop thinking about sex?

"Ask again in a few years. You're too young to know now."

C'mon, that is far too much of a common sense for our "Blame everyone but me" culture. Where would we be if we couldn't blame someone for not raising our kids properly.

And let's not forget erectile disfunction medication - levitra, viagra, etc., "for a long and lasting sexual experience when you want it"....always cracks me up when at the end they say "in the event an erection lasts longer than 4 hours see your doctor immediately"....explain that one to the children..,..

Well, I've often thought that about adult diapers, but they advertise those.

kids live in the world, there is no turning the channel from LIFE, that being said, it is annoying to be forced into the sex conversations bc of a TV commercial, it occasions having to have the sex talk at an earlier point than would otherwise be necessary. it isn't horrifying, it isn't a prudish reaction, it is ANNOYING. and i still dispute the need for the ads of any of the sex stuff. my point about the vibrators still stands. women assume a very vulnerable position with their gynecologist at least once a year for a checkup, and that is the appropriate time to ask about any suggestions for aids for discomfort or other problems they may have. not to mention girlfriends, sisters etc. the NEED for advertising is a function of the coarsening of our society.

Yeah, especially because I set up the cowboy to have 5 cases of diahrea. It was way to gay. Reminded me of jokes we did in 4th grade, not that there's anything wrong with that.

like i said, i am doing a fine job raising MY kids to know about sex and morals, but there are others out there who are letting the popular culture do their job for them and those kids are the ones that YOUR DAUGHTERS and mine are going to date. does it give you pause?

Those stupid Mentos things make me pissed off at Europeans. They came up with the darned things, and Millee's right. They do suck brain cells away ever time you see them.

Fox is on CABLE. Get over it... cancel your cable/sat subscription if you don't like the ad...

From what we know of KY, it is for an alternate life style, in which we do not indulge

If you wife has ever been to the OB/GYN, she has had KY used on her and has clearly seem the ample numer of tubes sitting on the counters. Not exactly an alternate life style.

Whatever happend to natures personal lubricate? I guess some are just to lazy or uncaring to properly take the time for it.

As many others on here have noted, age can have effects on the body that "taking time" will not fix.

I'm really not sure why, in this day and age, cable is treated differently than the 'networks'. Cable is no less accessible... it's not like people have a choice to view only the three networks... I certainly don't. I have no antennae that can pick up TV without cable.

Plus, how'd you like to skip all that business [with the little woman] of subtle hints that she never seems to get? Just leave the tube out on the dresser when you're in the mood. If you go back and find it in the trash, well, I guess that means she's not in the mood.

It's not a right. I just wondered why rules for cable are different than 'broadcast'.

Is reasonable conversation possible with you?
