That reminds me of our thread about men with body hair vs men wearing pink!
Not having kids, I haven't had to face situations like that ;~D
And many more.
Wow, you had to crank up the Way Back machine! The Beatles? I'm jealous!

SciFi babes Grace Park from Battlestar Galactica and Linda Park from Star Trek Enterprise.
Oh, not those?
I'm selling memberships to the club today. Would you care to join? :-)
LOL! Joanie was not with us...
You were quite the wild thing back then, weren't you? ;-)
Jethro Tull. 1968 or 69 in Connecticut.
Great concert.
But the best part was that the opening band was Paul Butterfield Blues Band. PBBB stayed after the main concert when the hall was almost empty, perhaps 100 of us, and blew tunes till sunrise.
Nice and personal.

AND NO, I AM NOT A HOMO! BUT I WILL POST THIS OTHER PICTURE ANYWAY
What I wouldn't give for some of that now..............
Hey - I'm glad I did it then... I'd look silly trying to pull that off now!
I'm not a metal girl, but I have to say, this was one of the best shows I've seen. Halford was phenomenal--but I'm surprised he can still sing considering the wear and tear he puts his voice through.
I hear the Boss puts on a good show. I've never liked his music, so I never went to see him. (plus they always sold out too fast)
Still touring huh! wow! He's got to be getting up there.
Patty Smith put you to sleep with her warbling? Now that's some talent! ;o)
I'm tempted to say no! But my roommate force fed me Smithereens and they grew on me. ;o)
1) The Clash, Dallas, 1981. The Clash was touring in support of Sandinista! I was stunned that my VERY conservative parents let me drive 3 hours with 3 guys that I worked with at the fried chicken place to see this show. I don't remember much but singing every song at the top of my lungs and getting lost on the drive home; calling my parents at 3 am asking for instructions to get back home was a nightmare. But they were cool, so I recall that as the first time I realized that they could be cool. Of course, my mom made me go to my summer school typing course the next morning at 7:30...
2) The Mavericks, Dallas, 2004. Raul Malo has the voice of an angel and the band knows how to put on a show. I had never seen their new guitarist, Eddie Perez, perform before and was shocked with how well he fit in. Again, I sang through the whole show at The Gypsy Tea Room and stayed to talk to the bassist, Robert Reynolds, who was really nice.
3) Elvis Costello, Dallas, 2002. My brothers treated me to this show, my first EC concert. I had never seen him live--a crime considering how much I enjoy his music (and for how long---since 1978). We were on the third row, close enough to see him wiggle his eyebrows at the cute girls in the front row. My brothers, who had seen him many times before, told me after the show that it was their favorite concert because they got to see the joy radiating off my face. I couldn't believe that he played "Rocking Horse Road"! I have a shadowbox hanging on the wall next to me with photos and mementos from that concert.
I know you've had to have had some wild rock concerts in your past. I want true confessions here! LOL
If he's still good after all these years, I'm highly impressed!
