The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President
Edward Klein
What is it about "The Truth About Hillary" that has the liberals and the mainstream press all upset? Is it her strong ties to lesbianism? Are the charges that Hillary knew her husband was a philandering womanizer, and even a rapist, too over the top?
I decided to read the book and form my own opinion. And, as expected, I learned a great many things the liberals would rather have kept private. Things like how Wellesley College, her alma mater, was the source of her lesbian leanings. Not so much lesbian in a sexual sense, but I learned how lesbianism can transcend into a political meaning as well.
I also gained a deeper understanding into how a truly liberated feminist like Hillary can achieve her power; and that is by riding the coat tails of her husband. The truly nasty, dark side of feminism is bluntly exposed in this book as it details how she subjected herself to a man. While this may not be true for every feminist; Hillary did not make it on her own, instead she endured years of Bill's unfaithfulness because it served her purpose. She swallowed her pride on numerous occasions, and supported her husband. And, on a more sympathetic side, the book even portrayed her as a victim, deserving of some pity, due to her sorry and unhappy personal life.
And this intimate look at Hillary's miserable marriage may in fact be why the liberals are howling the most. I dont believe for a minute that the Hillary camp is enraged at the sordid details of her political machinations, but I think as this book peels away at the outer layer of Hillary, exposing her as she really is, the overall result is an image of Hillary that shows all too clearly the failures of the lesbian-like political philosophies she has held for all these years. This book clearly shows the hypocrisy of feminism, and that's why the liberals are screaming.
Is this book one vicious attack on Hillary, one right after another? By no means. This book, especially the final chapters reveal to the readers the makings of a "new improved Hillary". Just as Richard Nixon was known for politically re-inventing himself, we can read how Hillary has adapted to and adopted a "whatever works" approach as she was elected Senator of New York. And indeed, even though the book makes no mention of her recent alliances with John McCain and Newt Gingrich, and other republicans; and oddly her husband's close relationship now with George and Barbara Bush, we can see where this book is going as it shows Hillary positioning herself for a 2008 run for President.
I wonder if this book is being released at the right time. Some may argue that this information would be better served in 2007. Some may argue that, this book is too harsh; it could backfire against conservatives.
But I like the timing of this book for this reason; right now the Howard Dean's and the Dick Durbin's of the Democratic Party are garnering attention allowing Hillary to escape the bad press that comes from typical liberal antics. So this book serves as a reminder of who and what Hillary Rodham Clinton is as the nation looks ahead to the 2008 presidential race.
This book is most likely a ploy to get the Hildebeast elected first woman President. Turn the sow into victim and she wins.
Well, you are right, it did happen with Rick Lazio...
I do not understand how any woman with an ounce of self-respect could vote for Hillary for anything. She let Bill use her as a personal doormat and humiliate her in public, yet she did nothing because the tradeoff for power was too great. If she were a hardcore conservative I would not vote for her just because of this. If she will do that much for power I do not want her running my country.
This country is toast.
I'm reading the book now and find it excellent.
