I'm going to bed too.
Morning Toby -- just to let you know, Vicksburg weather was gorgeous -- better than CA's! The doctor wore long sleeved cotton shirts and a blazer and never had one bead of sweat. I've got a couple of mosquito bites, but so what...lol.
I've been reading about your move.

Welcome to our state, so full of history, you are going to enjoy it here. I was born and reared in Greenville, MS, north of you about a hour + change, nowhere near the history in your new home city.

Good morning onyx.
Are you moved and settled?

Morning Onyx, all...
I enjoyed Vicksburg the several times I was there. My brother's in-laws had acreage/horses/big house there...sold it a few years ago as they had been empty nesters a LONG time & it was a lot of work. I am trying to recall the neighborhood but it was walking distance to Redbone United Methodist Church in Warren County where they were members & as a historic church had an OLD churchyard which I enjoyed browsing gravestones. They moved up north into some retirement community in Ozarks. Guess one always misses the home & fond memories of raising children etc.
Hope you are doing well in the unpacking/organizational situation. Did hubby take a position with the teaching hospital there? I considered it but decided on Charleston instead when I left Houston
