I just started reading The Hobbit. I do recall that one guy in the movie said he liked to rip out pages of the hotel bibles that references homosexuality though.

Jackson's movies were very bad. Their intent is to further American degeneracy. His Frodo character is a homosexual's wet dream come true.
You can say that Jackson worked from Tolkien's story, and I will agree. Jackson's desire is to poison those wellsprings completely. He has caused tremendous destruction.

Pretty clear that the movie pushed this point of view hard. Tolkien is totally innocent here. This is just Lavender Mafia propaganda from the film industry.
Oh, yeah, the movies were terrible. Unforgivable. Peter Jackson did a nasty hack job on purpose.
Tolkien's History of the War of the Ring is a great classic that will endure for many generations yet to come.

And Sean Astin did not overplay his role.
Now I think Frodo was the one who had issues.
