Contact someone on your city council and ask how you can get information on your city's "20 year plan." Nearly every city with a population over 50,00 has one, in one form or other. Sadly, not a lot of folks realize this when they are shopping for a home.

If they can't help you at the city level, try the county.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I would love to reply individually but my kids actually want me to pay attention to them and feed them lunch. Darn rugrats anyway!!! ;-)
