If true, an amazing story.

Lions rescue girl from Muslim kdnappers and tormentors.

Dick Durbin compares the lions to Nazis and Pol Pot.

Well this has to be the real *animal* of lions because the football team couldn't protect the endzone from a bunch of cane yielding grandmas.

Kidnapping and beating have been a part of the marriage custom in Ethiopia for some time, as the United Nations says nearly 70 percent of marriages are by abduction there.

The West could give Africa a trillion dollars per year and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.

Hmmm, I'm skeptical. I can't get my 1 year old Siamese from beating the tar out of his 17 year old Persian sister. I firmly believe that if I drop dead, be will eat me like I was a roasted pig.

While I love cats - ALL cats, I find this a bit hard to believe.

If it is indeed true, God bless the lions for what they did and what they didn't do. Lions aren't called the "King of the Jungle" for no reason. They can kill and eat whatever they want whenever they want.

Not my favorite un-domesticated cat though. I love the lynx! (when I was a kid I had an Arctic Cat Lynx 250 that would fly!). Plus they kill innocent white bunny rabbits for supper.

I'll go out on a limb and suggest this is not true.

Sometimes things that we think would happen in nature, just dont happen at all...sometimes animals can surprise us...

This may not be quite the same thing, but there are instances in the wild, documented on film, where two different species of animals, normally thought to be enemies(one usually the hunted, the other animal the hunter), actually become 'friends', for lack of a better word..

There is an instance of a little tiny kitten that was somehow separated from its mother...a big black crow took note of the poor kittys cries...and the bird began to feed the kitten, just as it might feed a baby bird...prying the kittys mouth open, and feeding it regurgitaged grubs and plants...the homeowners watching this sight took film of it...and as the kitten grew to a big cat, it remained friends with the bird, never trying to hurt the bird...films watching this big old cat playing with its 'friend', the big black crow...the bird flies down into the yard, then runs around and the cat licks it, and they play together...

There is also an instance of a woman who had bought a snake, and was told to feed it live mice, which she did...but on one occasion, the snake would not eat the current mouse put in its cage...instead the snake seemed to like the mouse...eventually the woman put another live mouse into the cage, and the snake went after it right away, and ate it...and it has continued that way...the snake always eats the newest mouse put into his cage, but will not eat this one particular mouse...I have even seem films of the mouse sound asleep, resting on top of the curled up snake...they seem to be buddies...

I am sure there are other instances of this in the animal kingdom...most animals follow their instincts and have a natural prey or predator role to play in nature...but sometimes, for whatever reason, those roles are not followed...

Mother Nature can be a trickster, I guess...
