According to the article, though, he didn't cheat. He flirted and "offered" to cheat, but he never did. The wife was just sick of his lack of respect. I'm not sure this punishment fits the crime.

Unless the wife is a total nutcase (which I have seen, in my time) this is not an isolated incident. I wouldn't have done it either, but I don't think this is the very first time he has disrespected their marriage.
I would guess there have been a few cookies on the side, over time.

That was what I was wondering. I realize she didn't like his "on air" humor. Her response? She sold a valuable "community property" for next to nothing, and she too, disrespected their marriage.
