It's called hyperbole, but there is a significant point that I was making. When a nation deserts its men in the field, you get the recruitment shortfalls we have had of late. When the people who want America to lose are louder and more committed than the ones that want her to win, more good, brave Americans die. When the Pentagon is so squeamish and neutered and more afraid of the NY Times Op-Ed page than of knocking on the doors of families of brave, young Americans, you lose wars. The Pentagon doesn't have a draft on-- those fighting are volunteers. The Pentagon should not allow those not in the War to bring harm and added peril to those consentually fighting the war. The media and the Far Left aren't fighting in Iraq-- it is a great travesty that the Pentagon feels obliged to answer to them. The Pentagon should call a spade a spade and get tough with the media-- these press conferences where the Pentagon spokesperson gets kicked in the teeth and says, "May, I have another" by military-hating Leftists need to end.

"It's called hyperbole, but there is a significant point that I was making. "

Now where have we heard that before....?
JohnGalt!

Okay gang, this thread is basically a whiney "We're losing the war" vanity hit piece.
And when slammed for the comment of "If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert.", they got really nasty with people.

And then came the gem of the 'hyperbole' quote.

Read over the thread, and laugh a little in disbelief as the poster then amazingly turns around and says "I'm on YOUR side!"
