It's the quality of movie theaters that's keeping people away. DVD sales are through the roof.

Amen I don't want to pay good money to listen to people make cell phone calls and talk like they are at home watching VHS. The video tape industry ruined the movie theaters. Children watched at home and talked. When we were kids we watched at the theater and were ruthlessly shut up. The result of 20 years of video tape - a whole generation that doesn't know how to act in a movie.

The good side is Home Theaters are better than the little things they call movie theaters now. I have an 8 x 4.5 foot screen and 3,200 watts of home theater. It is much more enjoyable and comfortable than the little box movie theaters and the picture quality is almost as good. (Better in some cases). The sound quality is hands down better than all but the absolute best theaters.

Screw hollywood.

I like seeing a movie at the theater, but $7.50 for a bargain price when you can buy most movies for$15 or less if you wait a little while and the dvd quality is a lot better than the theater.
