"Is your poetry a hobby or profession?"

Possibly, it's more of an obsession. Eventually, I expect to put out a volume or two of my poetry.

Organizing and annotating it looks like a daunting task. I have been keeping a list of poems I've posted here and there on Free Republic, principally at Amy's Place. It runs ten pages.

By the way, Dolly, I recall meeting you at the Free Republic Inaugural Ball. I was the guy making a fool of himself with Marissa.

ohhhh.. were you at our table the night before the inauguration??? if yes, I have some pix of you (I think).. will have to check.. on other computer. I am so bad with names & so many people were new to me those several days

bob i hope you can publish your work. I do understand what you mean regarding the challenge. I began my humor books (14 of them going at one time) about 6 years ago. Had a virus problem & lost my hard drive... of course I had NOTHING backed up. I was sick. REALLY sick over it.

Have half heartedly started again but the enthusiasm is not like it was then. They were topical books.. with humor, poetry, art work , toons, my original essays ... I thought they were good & many of them were about done.

My own stupidity for not backing up.
