I'd wager that Drudge mocked Bloomberg for trying to waste the taxpayer's money in bringing the Olympics to New York City, and this bloke is rather upset about the whole thing.
Olympics on Manhattan Island? If they actually skim all the condoms out of the Hudson it might actually be worth the trouble, but I doubt it. It was a horrible idea to begin with and kudos to the State of New York for not wanting to sink half a billion dollars into a stadium that likely would end up costing the state upwards of ten billion.
Los Angeles is the model that every Olympic committee should follow. A net surplus, a positive experience for the city - heck, people WANTED the Olympics to come before it was done. Freeways thoughtfully kept from their normal rush hour crush, a city kept generally clean, and some of the lowest crime rates ever recorded.
But then again, I never will expect Bloomberg to understand this. He's looking for a legacy for a tenure that has been between awful on the bottom side and ho-hum on the very pinnacle of the upside. Glad it isn't my tax dollars in question.

Why so many here react in a prejudice frame of mind the faultfinding, underminding mode?
I am not asking to like his securlar stance or where the Olympics should be!
Many of you most likely have let all you inspiration die on the vine, let alone had to courage to bring it too light of day!
It seems many of you have been condition...CAN'T instead of CAN DO!
