I see these stories on the {Armageddon) weather channel. I,m a closet weather junkie.

Every day in America, 11 people die from the weather.

There are 400 lightning strikes per second on the planet.

There is a tornado somewhere at this moment, in fact at every moment of every day there is at least one tornado somewhere.

There are thousands of other things that we have not yet even considered because we have not yet observed them.

The telescope taught man to think, the computer allows us to see.

The computer has extreme bearing on man's perception of the unchanging (yet variable) weather patterns.

The really interesting stuff is the radical and unseen, like when the jet-stream crashed into a mountain in Colorado a few years back.
