He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you, you have made known to us the dream of the king." Daniel 2:20-23

Hebrews 4:16 -- So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Peter 5:6 -- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time

Ecclesiastes 7:10 -- Don't long for "the good old days," for you don't know whether they were any better than today

However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9

Ecclesiastes 5:11 -- As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owner, except to feast his eyes on them?

Proverbs 11:14 -- Without wise leadership, a nation falls; with many counselors, there is safety.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30

Proverbs 21:2 -- All a man's ways seem right to him, but the LORD weighs the heart.

Romans 5:3 -- We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us -- they help us learn to endure.

I'm an Acts 17:11 kind of guy...

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

1 Corintians 10:13 (KJV)

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that year are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law he mediates day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in its season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, not sinners in the congergation of the righteous,

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Cool, I have a few sentences from that but not the entire passage. I really like this...

Advice on how to spend your tithe money from Deuteronomy 14:26
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household

2 Corinthians 8:9: 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.

--and--

2 Corinthians 9:8: 8 And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.

John 6:53 (NAB) Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.

1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Psalm 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. 5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Two simple yet great scriptures:

Proverbs 10:24. The blessing of the LORD maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow to it.

III John:2. Beloved, I wish above all things tha thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
