I can only hope that when the time comes when all these Anti-Smoking Zealots are pleased with themselves and their
years of thankless work I'll be off the Planet.
By the way, if I have any of my Montecristo #2's left on that day, They'll be in the casket with me.
One of my most cherished memories is smoking a Cohiba Siglo IV in the Cigar Bar & Billiards room in the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. I heard a few years back that the benevolent dictatorship of Singapore banned smoking in all indoor spaces. I wonder if it included this incredible historical hotel and it's bar......they had a humidor the size of a wardrobe! They waiter would light your cigar for you by lighting a cedar stick, then lighting your cigar, then getting it going by waving it around in a circle - all while you waited patiently sipping your drink. It may all be no more.
