I despise Johnny Depp's politics, which makes him hard to watch for me sometimes. However, having said that, I just saw Pirates of the Carribean and Finding Neverland. He was fabulous in both. Finding Neverland was a very moving story.
If I stopped watching all actors whose politics I despised....there would be only 2 or 3 to watch. I have not seen Neverland....I guess I will rent it this week.
Yeah, it was, but the actual story it was based upon was not at all what was portrayed. A couple of real life spoilers: (Right click your mouse over the space below to see them if you wish.) There is evidence that Barrie personally altered the will of Sylvia Llewelyn Davies in order to obtain custody of her children. Two of the sons later committed suicide. The father of the boys was alive when Barrie met the family and wasn't happy about Barrie's close involvement with his wife and sons.
I detest it when Hollywood glorifies people like Barrie.
