Give Michigan a bit of a think. Granted, we're technically "blue," but that is primarily Detroit and Lansing. The weather isn't dramatically different than what you have in MA, and the cost of living is certainly less. MSU, in spite of being a typical lib campus, is a great ag school, especially when it comes to animal husbandry and vet sciences. A 15-20 minute drive out of Lansing/East Lansing puts you in some very "red" counties.
Besides...we need more conservatives here! C'mon!!! Tip the balance!
