They're the great grand daddy of 'new wave' and 'punk'.
Then there's Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Huh, what?? Punk was already happening by the time DEVO did their top 40 thing. DEVO wishes they were the granddaddy of punk.

But Siouxsie is the Queen.
