"...Cruise's antics are coming back to bite him on the rear."
So to speak.

"Tom, you picked on the wrong lady and you're going down!"

Is there a right lady for him?

"This guy has had more beards than the Smith Brothers."
That's funny.
For those of you in Rio Lobo, "more beards than ZZ Top" with work, too.

"Perhaps Tom believes he can play both ends against the middle."

All righty, then...

"Who needs to "expose" him? I wandered into the room when my wife was watching him on "Oprah". He was flitting and flapping all around the stage. Gayer than an Easter bonnet. I mean, please. My gay-dar was ponging like Big Ben at noon. Couldn't have been gayer if he was riding Kevin Spacey sidesaddle."

Isn't it scary how they took over CAN (Cult Awareness Network) and staffed it with all their own people, who would sing the praises of Scientology??
For real?! I just came across a CAN pamphlet in my files the other day. Who do we trust now and when did CAN cross over to the dark side?! TIA!

Yes, it most certainly is the truth. They sued CAN until they were bankrupt, and then took over the whole thing and put their people on the phones. They sued not because they were in the right, but because they simply had the money to fight a protracted battle, which CAN didn't.
When I originally posted about that, I was thinking there was something about it in the Reader's Digest article I linked to in this thread. I guess I saw it somewhere else, or either the article isn't comlplete. I have the the original Reader's Digest with my books that I can check. Maybe it was something on TV that I saw about it. For now, check this out:
4 November 1996 Important Notice Re: Cult Awareness Network To Whom it may concern: On October 23, 1996 the law firm which has represented the Church of Scientology for years purchased the logo and license agreement of the Cult Awareness Network (CAN). Accordingly, any publications or communications using the CAN name or logo after October 23rd (1996) should not be regarded as emanating from or having the approval of the Cult Awareness Network personnel or officers who were associated with CAN before 23 October. Sincerely, Herbert L. Rosedale, Esq. President AFF
A quick Google search will provide more sources.

Brookes on fire! Get er done...cut little Tommy down to sizeGo Brooke! I'm glad he picked on Brooke! Not only does he succeed in exposing his own idiocy, but that of Scientology as well. And Brooke has not/will not take this assault lightly, she's come out full force. He just looks more and more ridiculous and she looks more polished and professional - and rational! - than ever, than he ever could. His handlers, his creepy scientology sister and others, aren't going to be able to gloss this one over so easily. And with all the public attention on the wacky side (are there any others?) of Scientology, it will be more difficult to strong arm the media and others into painting them in a more positive light, as they've been rumored to have done in the past.

The other creepy part is that whenever Tom and Katie appear anywhere together, he appears to be clutching onto her. To keep her from bolting? Who knows. The Scientology is nuts and dangerous, we can't repeat that enough. Katie would do well to break that grip and run.
