If you want to reduce the likelihood of yourself, or a loved one, suffering the cruel fate that Terri S. suffered, then please do something right now.
The New York State legislature is considering Assembly bill A07009, and Senate bill S04083 which state that no patient shall be denied artificial nutrition and hydration unless he or she has specifically consented to such in writing.
I received a letter from my Assemblyman on 22April05 indicating that the Assembly bill is in the Health Committee for review. A check of the Assembly web site today, indicates that it is still there. http://assembly.state.ny.us/
Please take a few minutes and contact your local Members of the Assembly and the Senate and urge them to enact legislation to protect all New Yorkers from such a cruel death.
You'll be glad you did.
bump! V's wife.
The butt heads in all the states need to do something about the legal murder machine that allowed Terri Shiavo to be executed on hearsay before they get kicked out of office by their own party.
My thanks to both of you for your support.
In case you missed it, here we go again:

No I didn't miss it.....in fact I expected this after the legal (but wrong) murder of Terri.
What did everyone expect would be the result of giving euthanasia a political and legal boost?
