1. The state or quality of requiring much effort or immediate action. 2. A pressing or urgent situation. See Synonyms at crisis. 3. Urgent requirements; pressing needs. Often used in the plural.

concupiscence; n

A strong desire, especially sexual desire; lust

Entymology:Middle English, from Old French, from Late Latin concupscentia, from Latin concupscns, concupscent- present participle of concupscere inchoative of concupere, to desire strongly : com-, intensive pref.; see com- + cupere, to desire.]

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

I used to work for the CIA.

I heard Rush yesterday talking about all the ways the CIA was used to spy on the Goldwater campaign and their staff. I did not know any of it. Which just goes to show how bad the teaching of history is today.
