Happy *hiccup* Friggin' New *hiccup* Year!
Yeah but Geddy Lee sings like a castrated chimpanzee.
True...I do not like Geddy's voice so much but he and the band ROCK THE HOUSE! That used to be the standard in rock and roll, but now bands named "The Goo Goo Dolls" are said to be great. Who wants to hear whining set to music?
You hit it.... Geddy is one of the most talented muscians on the planet and one badass bass player. You don't see much talent in these newer bands...it doesn't even look like their trying.

Can you hyperlink this correctly for me? I forgot to add it into the link when posting the story. Thanks.
Shouldn't being roughed up by the police be a badge of honor in the rock and roll community?
This should not have happened in my country. The police have violated their oath to America and should all be deported. The way to get them will be to find a legal way to remove their indemnification and I am convinced a way can be found to do this. Then we can hold them accountable on a personal basis the same way that we ourselves are.
This is Alex.
I can't believe they have to deal with this at their age. It's not like they're young punk rockers... they're professionals!
A terrible tragedy, and another example of bouncers/security reacting with wild excess, almost intoxicating excess, at music performances.
Isn't "greatest bass player" an oxymoron?
A guitar teacher once said, "Look, you can't handle chords and you haven't learned the scales - play the bass."
(btw, John Kerry is a bass player)
Before Jaco, it might have been -- after Jaco, the bass was changed forever.
Search around the net and see if you can find a link to "Portrait of Tracy" -- Jaco playing all in one take. Or any of his work with the band Weather Report.
As far as (current) bass players in general, apparently you've never heard Victor Wooten's music?
Alex has been one of my guitar heroes for twenty-five years...so I'll take his word over the cops' any day. ;)
Neil writes all the lyrics, that's why he would be the one to explain Tom Sawyer. ;)
Umm...getting arrested with drugs, tuning up your band groupies in a drunken rage, doing a stint in rehab and singing for some charity album....
Oh, and sleeping with Pam Anderson.
Me neither, but it's still a fantastic song...
