Lets see...
Neither one of these actually gives an example of a standard user application which causes RPM hell?
I installed Openoffice by using gyum (link in the task bar menu) which automatically picked up a few deps and installed them and I had no trouble. I aksed for an application on a distro which caused dep hell for a desktop user??
