I struggled at a job for a year making $8.00 an hour doing A/P work for a storage company. My boss was the owner's daughter, who could be cruel in some of her more personal remarks towards me.
I stuck it through and kept my options open and lo and behold, God presented me with those lovely 4 years at Troy Corp - where I was able to meet all of you!
He is looking out for you, chica - and the end result will definitely be worth the wait.
Get something temp while you wait. Any experience you pick up on those assignments just adds to your employee value anyway! :-D
Just frustrating that I've been holding onto hopes for that one job for so long. And they kept telling me I'd hear back soon...so I've been hesitant to apply for temporary jobs...Barnes and Noble or something at the mall, maybe.
But now...that leaves me high and dry and feeling like I've wasted a LOT of time. My fault too, I suppose, as I shouldn't have been counting on it so much.
Well...life goes on, as I said. This afternoon I'll drop that paperwork by campus. And just *maybe* this *won't* get chucked in the trash. And maybe this time next month I'll be riding to work with Jen. ;-)
